CLIMATE MOBILIZATION ACT
Part of OneNYC’s long range goal to cut carbon emissions by 80% in 2050, the Climate Mobilization Act
sets carbon emissions limits per square foot in 2024 and 2030. The law (LL97) affects buildings greater than
25,000 sf with penalties for non-compliance. Maximum penalties equal the difference between the building’s
annual emissions limit and actual emissions multiplied by $268. First compliance reports are due May 1, 2025
